Black mould

Hi, I’m reporting a serious issue from our recent stay. At checkout, we discovered visible black buildup consistent with mould inside the water filter jug provided in the fridge. We had been drinking from it throughout our stay from Friday to Wednesday, assuming it was clean and safe. Additionally, we experienced racist behaviour from neighbours, including comments suggesting we did not “belong there.” This made us feel unsafe and unwelcome during our stay. These issues raise serious concern

Thank you for your feedback. We take all reports regarding health, safety, and neighbour conduct very seriously. Regarding the water filter, our inspection found no evidence of the 'mould' described; however, we removed the unit as a standard precaution. We have also forwarded your comments regarding the neighbours to building management for further investigation, as we maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. However, we must address the significant issues reported during your stay. We received multiple complaints from neighbours regarding bad language, noise and disruptive behaviour, including unauthorized parties and a significant mess left in the common areas and pool, which impacted the entire building community. Inside the apartment, our cleaning team discovered food scraps on the floors, extensive staining on the carpets, and broken glassware and glass bottles throughout. Most concerning was the damaged shower screen, which required immediate professional replacement. While we strive to provide a welcoming environment for all, we expect our guests to respect both our home and our neighbours. Due to the extensive damage and the disregard for house rules, we will not be able to host you again in the future.

We very much enjoyed staying at this property. It is well positioned for Perth, Freo, Subiaco and Rockingham. The neighbourhood is quiet with great shops and pub close by. It had everything we needed and is quite spacious. Recommended.
